Janelle Duran, Esq.
Ms. Duran is a partner at The H & D Law Firm. Her practice focuses on complex family and domestic violence matters.
Ms. Duran was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is of hispanic descent and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Ms. Duran attended Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She later received her Juris Doctorate degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. During her time in law school, Ms. Duran served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rodolfo Ruiz and received a Commendation Pro Bono Award for dedicating over 100 hours of community service. Additionally, Ms. Duran dedicated her time to representing children as their case manager for the Department of Children and Families.
Prior to becoming a partner at the Firm, Ms. Duran worked as a criminal and family law attorney at a Miami law firm representing clients in domestic violence cases, dissolutions of marriage, paternity, child custody, parent relocations, child support, and post-judgment actions.
Ms. Duran is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and is also active in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.
